     As I was leaving, M. Reynaud said that he knew that
 
I had arranged to see M. Dalaclier again on Thursday,
 
March 14, and that he hoped that I would ask M. Daladier
 
to let him, M. Reynaud, be present as this interview. To 
 
this request I made no comment, inasmuch as I was familiar 
 
with the strained relations between N. Daladier and
 
M. Reynaud, and because I believed that M. Daladier would 
 
probably resent any such suggestion on my part.
