            VII. THE ROOSEVELT FAMILY BURIAL PLOT AND CHURCH PEW AT HYDE
                 PARK
                                                       
       Mrs. Roosevelt has inquired as to the rights and obligations
respecting the family burial plot and pew at St. James
Church in Hyde Park. Under date of July 31, 1950 Mr. Koons
wrote to Mrs. Roosevelt outlining the situation with
respect to both the burial plot and the pew. Copies of that
letter have been submitted to the Trustees and the advice
therein contained is new presented for formal ratification.
 
           VIII. PRESENT STATUS OF THE TRUST
 
       The third anniversary of the trust is September 1 of this
year at which time a statement of assets on hand will be
prepared and submitted to each of the five Roosevelt
children as remaindermen under the Will. At that time it
will be in order to compute and pay the annual principal
commissions to the three Trustees as provided Sec. 285-a of
the Surrogate's Court Act as follows:
 
    $1.00 per $1,000 on the first $50,000 of principal
      .45 "      "    "  next $350,000            "
      .30 "         "    on all additional principal in excess of
                                                 $400,000
 
The foregoing computations will be based upon market value
as of August 31, 1950.
 
        There is submitted herewith auditors' confirmation of the
securities in the trust estate on hand in the Custody
Account of the Trustees at City Bank Farmers Trust Company,
22 William Street. The securities were examined personally
at the vaults of the City Bank Farmers Trust Company by the
three Special Guardians in the presence Mr. Koons on July 7, 1950. The securities were found to be
in order and in accordance with the trust records as shown
by Schedule "C"
