April 18, 1938.
My dear Mr.President:
With reference to our telephone conversation of this morning,
I am enclosing herewith for your consideration a suggestion of
what you might wish to say at your press conference tomorrow
with regard to the British-Italian Agreement.
I have spoken on the telephone to the secretary and he is
in accord with the general lines of this suggestion.
Believe me
Faithfully yours.
Enclosure.
The President,
The White House.
