The situation still remains the same in Mindanao and in the Visayas.
An uncounted number of Japanese bombers from Formosa landed at Nichols
Field. They had navy crews and undoubtedly are headed further South.
Concentrations of our heavy guns wiped out a Japanese force with small
boats and launches at Ternate.*
On our front we are more than holding our own against heavy shelling and
intermittent infantry fights all along the lines.
